Dr Smita Ashok obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), USA in 2007. She began her academic career teaching the dental students at UPenn and gained vast clinical experience at a busy practice in the heart of Philadelphia. She volunteered in dental outreach programs to gain insight into dental needs of the underprivileged.
She brought her skill and education to Singapore in 2009 and has been in practice ever since. She loves restorative dentistry with a special interest in root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry and implants. She has a friendly and outgoing nature and knows how to create a relaxed environment for our apprehensive and anxious patients. She is extremely comfortable treating children as old as 2 and equally gentle and caring towards the elderly. She is passionate about her work and places emphasis on educating patients on preventing future dental problems with the best quality diagnostic methods and services.
She has completed implant and wisdom teeth training courses and keeps herself abreast of the newest and emerging dental technologies, including CEREC, CADCAM, and Implants. She is an active member of Singapore Dental Association, Singapore Ethics, and College of General Dental Practitioners.
In her spare time, she is a dedicated student of Indian Classical dance, loves to spend quality time with friends, family, outdoor and music.
