Veneers Cost in Singapore (2026)

tooth leaning right tooth leaning left big tooth big tooth
veneers-price

A single porcelain veneer at Nuffield Dental is listed at SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 before GST, and a plan for your front teeth may cover more than one tooth. Quotes for dental veneers can also be hard to compare, because one clinic may fold X-rays and planning visits into its fee while another lists them separately.

Without an itemised breakdown, you can budget for the veneers and still be caught out by the consultation, X-rays and appointments around them. Veneers cost in Singapore comes down mostly to the material and the number of teeth, plus any treatment your teeth need first. Knowing how each one moves the price lets you compare quotes item by item, and the material also affects how long a veneer is likely to last, which changes what you pay over the years.

How Much Do Veneers Cost in Singapore?

At Nuffield Dental, a composite veneer costs SGD $600 per tooth and a porcelain (ceramic) veneer costs SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 per tooth. Both fees are before GST and are subject to prevailing GST.

Veneer Type Cost Range (Before GST)
Composite veneer SGD $600 per tooth
Porcelain (ceramic) veneer SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 per tooth

What Affects the Cost of Veneers?

The material and the number of teeth set most of the price. Treatment your teeth need beforehand, your bite and any teeth whitening treatment can add to it.

  • Material: Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory, which is part of why porcelain costs more per tooth than composite.
  • Number of teeth: Veneers are priced per tooth, so each tooth you add to the plan adds its own fee.
  • Treatment needed first: Active gum disease or tooth decay is usually treated before veneers are placed, and that care is charged separately. At Nuffield Dental, scaling and polishing is SGD $129 to SGD $200 and a composite filling is SGD $105 to SGD $355, before GST. Your plan may also combine veneers with gum reshaping or teeth straightening, which are priced separately.
  • Grinding or clenching: If you grind your teeth, your dentist may suggest a night guard (bruxism splint) to protect the veneers. A bruxism splint at Nuffield Dental is SGD $450 to SGD $650 before GST.
  • Whitening first: If you want your other teeth lighter, whitening usually comes before the veneer shade is chosen, and its fees are set out on our teeth whitening Singapore price page.
  • Who treats you: Treatment by a registered dental specialist carries separate charges from the general fees shown in this guide.

Composite Veneers Cost

A composite veneer at Nuffield Dental costs SGD $600 per tooth before GST. Composite is the same family of tooth-coloured resin used for white fillings, and it usually needs less enamel removed than porcelain.

Pros Cons
Lower fee per tooth, at SGD $600 vs SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 for porcelain More prone to staining and loss of surface shine over time
Less enamel is removed to prepare the tooth Fewer were still in place after 10 years than ceramic veneers, in one trial;
Can change the shape or colour of a tooth Edges may chip, which can mean a repair visit

How Long Do Composite Veneers Last?

A 2023 review of clinical trials found that about 88% of resin composite veneers survived over average follow-up periods of 24 to 97 months. The most reported problems were surface roughness, colour mismatch and staining at the edges.

A 10-year trial gave each patient one laboratory-made composite veneer and one ceramic veneer. After 10 years, 75% of the composite veneers were still in place, compared with 100% of the ceramic veneers.

Are Composite Veneers Right for You?

Composite may suit you if you are treating one or two teeth and want to keep the fee per tooth lower. If you grind your teeth, composite edges are more prone to chipping, so ask your dentist whether composite suits your bite.

Porcelain Veneers Cost

A porcelain (ceramic) veneer at Nuffield Dental costs SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 per tooth before GST. Your dentist removes a thin layer of enamel, takes impressions and sends them to a dental laboratory, and you may wear temporary veneers while the final ones are made.

Pros Cons
Resists staining and keeps its colour well Costs more than composite, whether for one tooth or a full set
Higher survival than composite veneers in a 10-year trial A thin layer of enamel is removed to make room for the veneer
Suits treating several front teeth, where the shade needs to match; The most common complication is a chip or fracture in the porcelain
The laboratory stage means treatment runs over more than one visit

How Long Do Porcelain Veneers Last?

A 2016 review of 13 studies estimated that 89% of porcelain and glass-ceramic veneers were still in place after a median follow-up of 9 years. Fracture or chipping was the most frequent complication, at about 4%, and about 2% of veneers came loose.

A separate study of 318 porcelain veneers placed at an Austrian university clinic estimated 93.5% survival at 10 years. In that group, failure was 7.7 times more likely in patients who grind their teeth, and teeth without a living nerve failed more often.

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for You?

Porcelain may suit you if you are treating several front teeth and want a material with higher long-term survival. For a single chipped edge, a composite veneer or tooth bonding, which adds tooth-coloured resin to the edge, may be enough and costs less than porcelain. When planning your treatment, your dentist may suggest a crown instead for a tooth that is heavily filled or weakened, and our article on veneers vs crowns explains how the two differ.

Composite vs Porcelain Veneers Side by Side

The table below puts the two materials next to each other, using the fees and study results in this guide.

Feature Composite Veneers Porcelain Veneers
Fee per tooth (before GST) SGD $600 SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500
Enamel removed Usually less A thin layer
Staining More prone to staining and loss of surface shine over time Resists staining and keeps its colour well
Still in place after 10 years in one trial; 75% 100%
Most common problem Surface roughness, colour mismatch and staining at the edges A chip or fracture in the porcelain
Visits Generally placed more quickly More than one visit, because of the laboratory stage

Veneers Cost by Number of Teeth

Each veneer is priced per tooth, so your total goes up with every tooth you add. The figures below use Nuffield Dental's per-tooth fees before GST, and fee adjustments may apply depending on the number of teeth treated.

Number of Teeth Composite Veneers Porcelain Veneers
1 tooth SGD $600 SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500
2 teeth SGD $1,200 SGD $3,000 to SGD $5,0004 teeth
4 teeth SGD $2,400 SGD $6,000 to SGD $10,000

A full set of veneers has no fixed size, because the number of teeth that show when you smile differs from person to person. Your dentist can show you which teeth are visible in your smile and whether veneering fewer of them, with whitening for the rest, would meet your aims.

What's Included in the Cost of Veneers

Nuffield Dental's veneer fees do not include the consultation, diagnostic X-rays or medication, which are charged separately. A sterilisation and consumables fee also applies at each visit.

Item Cost Range (Before GST)
Examination, simple to complex SGD $50 to SGD $80 per examination
Small X-ray SGD $48 per X-ray
Large X-ray SGD $105 per X-ray
Sterilisation and consumables SGD $18 per visit

A plan with more appointments carries more per-visit charges, so ask how many visits your treatment is likely to take. Other treatment fees are listed on our dental price list Singapore page.

Veneer Replacement Cost

A veneer can wear down, chip, fracture or come loose. If that happens, it can be replaced: your dentist removes the old veneer and makes a new one. Plan to pay the fee for a new veneer, and ask if taking off the old one is charged separately.

Each replacement adds a second fee for that tooth. If you replace a composite veneer once, you pay SGD $600 twice, or SGD $1,200. If you replace a porcelain veneer once, you pay SGD $3,000 to SGD $5,000. These fees are before GST.

These habits can shorten the life of a veneer or affect how it looks:

  • Grinding or clenching: A night guard may help protect veneers if you grind at night.
  • Biting hard objects: Using your front teeth on ice, pens, fingernails or packaging puts force on the edge of a veneer.
  • Smoking: Staining around the edges of porcelain veneers was greater in smokers in the Austrian study above.
  • Gaps in daily cleaning: Brushing twice a day and cleaning between your teeth helps reduce the risk of decay around the edges of a veneer.

Example of a Total Veneer Bill

This example shows what a plan for 4 veneers may add up to, using Nuffield Dental's fees before GST. It assumes one examination and one small X-ray. The sterilisation and consumables fee is charged at each visit, so it is listed on its own.

Item Composite, 4 Teeth Porcelain, 4 Teeth
Veneers (4 teeth) SGD $2,400 SGD $6,000 to SGD $10,000
Examination (one) SGD $50 to SGD $80 SGD $50 to SGD $80
Small X-ray (one) SGD $48 SGD $48
Sterilisation and consumables SGD $18 per visit SGD $18 per visit
Total before the per-visit fee SGD $2,498 to SGD $2,528 SGD $6,098 to SGD $10,128

Other items may be added to your total, each priced separately: treatment needed first, such as scaling and polishing at SGD $129 to SGD $200, a night guard if you grind your teeth, and teeth whitening if you want your other teeth lighter. All fees are subject to prevailing GST, so ask for an itemised quote before treatment starts.

Are Veneers Covered by MediSave, CHAS or Insurance?

Veneers are a cosmetic treatment, so they are generally not covered by MediSave or the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), and dental insurance plans may exclude them too.

  • MediSave: MediSave is the national medical savings scheme under the Central Provident Fund (CPF), used for hospitalisation, day surgery and certain outpatient costs. For dental care it mainly covers surgical treatment needed for medical reasons, such as removing impacted wisdom teeth or placing dental implants, so veneers are not MediSave claimable.
  • CHAS: CHAS subsidies at participating clinics cover a published list of dental services, including consultations, scaling, fillings, permanent crowns, dentures and root canal treatment. Veneers are not on that list.
  • Dental insurance: Dental insurers may treat veneers as elective, so cover varies by plan. If a veneer is part of repairing a damaged tooth, ask your insurer or HR team whether any part is claimable before treatment starts, and keep your itemised invoice.

How to Evaluate a Veneer Quote

Start with what you can check at home. If the clinic publishes a price list, compare the per-tooth fee for the same material, and note whether the figure includes GST. Then take these questions to your consultation:

  • Is the fee per tooth, and which teeth are in the plan? The total should list each tooth.
  • Which material is proposed, and why? Ask how it fits your bite and your budget.
  • What is charged separately? Ask for each separate item, such as temporary veneers or a trial of the new shape, to be listed on the quote.
  • Is any treatment needed first? Gum care or fillings before veneers add to the total.
  • What would a repair or replacement cost? A chipped or loose veneer may need attention in later years.

Cost Of Root Canal Treatment In Singapore

Root Canal Treatment Cost

The price varies according to the unique treatment prescribed to each individual patient. For example, if a root canal treatment is require for more than one root, the cost would go up as well. However, saving the tooth with a Root Canal treatment is relatively cost-efficient in the long run.

A Root Canal Treatment procedure in Singapore's price ranges from S$500 - S$1700. However, the price may or may not include the crowning of the tooth and consultation charges. Average consultation prices of dental services in Singapore ranges from S$75- S$200.

Root Canal Treatment FAQs

Is a Root Canal Treatment procedure painful?

  • The entire procedure will be done under local anaesthesia, so it will not be painful than getting your tooth filled or a wisdom tooth surgery. However, the affected area may cause discomfort and be slightly sore post-surgery but it goes away after a few days.
  • If the pain persists, please consult our doctor immediately. You can reach us at +65 9839 7363.

Can I go about my day to day activities after a Root Canal Treatment?

  • Most patients are able to return to school or work the next day following a Root Canal Treatment. However, it is advised against eating immediately post-surgery as there may be numbness in the affected area.

What are the side effects of a Root Canal Treatment?

  • The side effects of a Root Canal Treatment differs with each individual. Some people may experience pain or a slight soreness post-surgery, and some people may experience little to no pain at all. This also applies to certain patients experiencing a measured amount of sensitivity associated to cold or heat when consuming food or beverages.

What is the aftercare for a Root Canal Treatment?

  • As a Root Canal Treatment is considered a restorative procedure, the after-care is deemed crucial to experience lasting effects. After your procedure, your dentist will send you home with pain-killers to counter the soreness you may feel when the anaesthesia wears off. It is also strongly advised against the consumption of food until the numbness wears off. Brushing and flossing daily is encouraged to keep the area clean and this in turn would prevent infection. Upon completing any follow-up appointments for the Root Canal Treatment, you may be required to return to the dentist for a final crown to fully restore the tooth. A properly treated and restored tooth can last as long as your natural teeth.

Can a Root Canal Treatment be unsuccessful?

  • A Root Canal Treatment has a 90% success rate of fully restoring your tooth. However. failure to fully restore your tooth can occur if there is a loose crown, tooth fracture or decay. Undetected canal branches or an obstruction that causes the cleaning difficulties may also cause a Root Canal Procedure to fail. Should your Root Canal Treatment be unsuccessful, explore options with Nuffield's Endodontist for possible solutions.

FAQs

The value depends on what you want to change. Veneers can alter the shape, size and colour of a tooth in one treatment, which whitening cannot do. If colour is your only concern, teeth whitening may meet your aim for less, so ask your dentist which option fits your teeth.

The two overlap in price at Nuffield Dental, where a ceramic crown is SGD $1,300 to SGD $2,500 and a porcelain veneer is SGD $1,500 to SGD $2,500 per tooth, before GST. A veneer covers the front of the tooth, while a crown covers the whole tooth. Our dental crown cost guide sets out crown prices by material.

Tooth bonding is listed at SGD $114.45 to SGD $368.95 per tooth on our price list, and tooth reshaping at SGD $65 to SGD $130 per tooth.

A full set has no fixed price, because it has no fixed number of teeth. It depends on how many teeth show when you smile, which differs from person to person. At Nuffield Dental's per-tooth fees, 10 composite veneers would come to SGD $6,000 and 10 porcelain veneers to SGD $15,000 to SGD $25,000 before GST. Fee adjustments may apply depending on the number of teeth treated, so ask your dentist for a quote for your own plan.

GST applies at GST-registered clinics, and the current rate is 9%. Nuffield Dental's veneer fees are quoted before GST, so a SGD $600 composite veneer comes to SGD $654 and the porcelain range comes to SGD $1,635 to SGD $2,725 per tooth.

In a study of 499 porcelain veneers, estimated survival at 20 years was 91%. The Austrian study above, of 318 veneers, estimated 82.93% at 20 years. A veneer that has failed, worn or no longer matches the teeth around it can be replaced with a new one.

Porcelain veneers need more than one visit. After your dentist plans the treatment with you, the tooth is prepared and an impression is taken, and you return to have the veneers fitted once the dental laboratory has made them. Composite veneers are generally placed more quickly. The number of visits depends on your teeth and on any treatment needed first, so ask your dentist how many appointments your plan is likely to need.

Porcelain veneers need a thin layer of enamel removed so the veneer sits in line with your other teeth, and enamel does not grow back. Composite veneers usually need less removed, and some people notice mild sensitivity for a few days after the teeth are prepared. Your dentist should explain how much preparation your teeth need before you agree to treatment.

Whitening gel lightens natural tooth colour only, so a veneer keeps the shade it was made in. If you plan to whiten your other teeth, your dentist can advise on an appropriate order, since the veneer shade is matched to your teeth when it is made.

Cutting an apple into slices and chewing with your back teeth puts less force on veneer edges than biting into it with your front teeth. Avoid biting ice, fingernails or other hard objects, which can chip a veneer.
