What is Nuffield’s Pricing Approach?
- Service-Based Pricing: At Nuffield Dental, services such as X-rays, scaling, and fillings are charged separately rather than as a package. Patients are billed according to the treatments they receive.
- MediSave Claims: For procedures eligible under MediSave, such as wisdom tooth surgery or dental implants, Nuffield Dental clinics can assist patients with making claims directly.
- Patient Safety Measure: Before treatment, a review of medical history is carried out. Standard infection-control measures such as protective covers, eyewear, and disinfection are applied across all clinic locations.
- Surgical Equipment: For complex procedures such as wisdom tooth removal or dental implants, Nuffield Dental uses electric motor–driven drills with disinfectant coolant. These are part of routine clinical practice and are included in the treatment fee.
FAQs
Are dentists expensive in Singapore?
Dental costs in Singapore can be unpredictable. A basic consultation usually starts from SGD $22 - SGD $55. Specialised treatments like braces, implants, and veneers cost more. If you have subsidies or insurance, you might pay less, so check your eligibility before booking.
How can I claim from my Medisave account for dental surgery?
Before your visit, ensure you have a Medisave account with sufficient funds. You can check your balance online at cpf.gov.sg or by calling 1800-227-1188.
If you wish to use Medisave, Nuffield Dental can assist with the claim submission once you provide the required documents:
- Photocopies of both sides of the patient’s and the Medisave account holder’s NRIC
- Marriage certificate (if using a spouse’s Medisave)
- Completed Medisave Claim Authorisation Form (MCAF) for Day Surgery, signed by both patient and account holder
After submission, claims are usually processed within 2–3 weeks. If you do not have a Medisave account or your balance is insufficient, you may use the Medisave savings of an immediate family member (spouse, children, parents, or grandchildren who are Singapore Citizens or PRs), subject to Medisave withdrawal limits.
Patients with CHAS or Pioneer Generation cards can enjoy the relevant subsidies.
Where can I access dental care at lower rates in Singapore?
Clinics registered with the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) or polyclinics are the most affordable for Singaporeans. Subsidised services cover fillings, X-rays, extractions, and cleanings. Compare private and public clinics to see what suits your budget and needs.
