MediSave Claims For Dental Treatments

Nuffield Dental clinics - Orchard, Seletar, Kovan, Raffles Place, Simpang Bedok, Serangoon Gardens, Siglap, Westgate, Holland Village and HarbourFront - are accredited by the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) as day surgery facilities.

Both Singapore citizens and permanent residents may be able to claim a portion of their surgical expenses from their MediSave Account.

Who Is Eligible?

A Singaporean Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR) who has a MediSave account with sufficient balance is eligible for MediSave claims.

An immediate family member can also pay on your behalf with their MediSave account. Please read more about MediSave claims for dental treatments on MOH’s website.

Dental treatments that are MediSave-claimable

Dental treatments, procedures and surgery that are considered medically necessary are MediSave-claimable. For the full breakdown and amount of claims applicable at Nuffield Dental clinics, please refer to the table below.

Dental treatments that are not MediSave-claimable

In general, treatments or procedures that are non-surgical and/or aesthetic in nature are not MediSave-claimable. Examples include:

Tooth extraction
Non-surgical root canal treatment
Braces, including Invisalign, Damon
Dental crowns
Dental bridges
Dentures

How to apply for MediSave claims for dental treatments and procedures?

Step 1:

When you book an appointment at Nuffield Dental, please inform our team that you would like to claim from your MediSave for your dental treatment.

Step 2:

Please bring your NRIC when you visit our clinic for verification purposes and fill out the Medical Claims Authorisation Form during registration. Our team will then request you to log in to your SingPass account to check whether you have sufficient balance in your MediSave account.

Step 3:

The team will handle the submission process for you and MediSave will send a Claims Statement to you once the claim application has been approved and processed.

You will be required to only pay the difference between the total dental treatment bill and the MediSave claims on the day of treatment. For example, if the procedure is $4,000 and the eligible claim amount is $1,500, you will pay the difference, which is $2,500.

If there is insufficient balance in your MediSave account, the team will advise on payment options depending on the total bill.
